Under Milk Wood Mirror

Inspired by the Dylan Thomas drama Under Milk Wood, and a recent illustrated retelling by Cerys Matthews, I have always loved this sentence from the opening paragraph and thought it would make a great mosaic piece.  

A vintage bevel edged mirror has been sanded, waxed and limed and Carefully cut out letters spell  “ Down to the sloeblack,slow, black, crowblack, fishingboat-bobbing sea”.  Around the edge of the frame are cottages made from driftwood and fishing boats carved from the same and painted.  (I love a bit of fiddly model making, takes me back to my youth!)
